Our Accreditations & Certifications
NPHS works across water mist, sprinkler and specialist fire suppression systems. Our accreditations, memberships and third-party assessments support the technical, quality and health-and-safety standards expected by contractors, consultants, developers and property owners.
The scope of each accreditation, membership or product certification is different. Where testing or certification relates to a manufacturer or product rather than NPHS directly, we make that distinction clear.
Accreditations, memberships and certification
NPHS maintains a range of professional memberships, third-party assessments and quality credentials relevant to fire suppression design, installation, maintenance and project delivery.
We also work with independently tested and certified suppression products, including iCO residential water mist technology.

LPCB Certification
iCO Products has product and quality certification relevant to its residential fire suppression technology.
The LPCB Red Book is an established reference used by architects, specifiers, regulators, designers and end users when reviewing independently assessed fire protection products and systems.
This certification relates to the relevant iCO products and system evidence. Project suitability should still be assessed against the proposed system, application, fire-test evidence and design requirements.
BSI Certification
iCO residential water mist technology has undergone independent testing and certification against recognised residential water mist requirements.
The established iCO system was tested against BS 8458:2015. That standard was withdrawn by BSI in July 2025 following development of the BS EN 14972 framework.
Withdrawal of BS 8458 does not automatically invalidate products, systems or certification previously developed against the standard. Current projects should be reviewed against the relevant certification, test evidence, system limits and project approval route.

IFC Group
NPHS has undergone third-party assessment through International Fire Consultants in relation to our ability to design, install and maintain water mist fire suppression systems.
Independent assessment gives contractors, consultants and project teams additional evidence that defined technical processes, competence and documentation have been reviewed against the applicable certification scheme requirements.
Warringtonfire
iCO residential water mist equipment has undergone independent fire testing through Warringtonfire, formerly Exova Warringtonfire.
Fire testing provides application-specific evidence of system performance under defined conditions and forms an important part of the supporting evidence used when assessing water mist products and systems.
NPHS designs, installs and maintains suitable iCO systems within the applicable product, test and design parameters.

BAFSA
NPHS is a member of the British Automatic Fire Sprinkler Association.
BAFSA represents organisations working across automatic sprinkler and water-based fire suppression systems in the UK.
Membership supports industry engagement, technical awareness, training and access to current sprinkler and water-based suppression guidance.
Fire Protection Association
NPHS is a member of the Fire Protection Association.
The FPA provides technical guidance, training, research and information across fire prevention and protection.
Membership supports access to current information on fire safety standards, regulation, testing and developments within the fire protection sector.

Fire Industry Association
NPHS is associated with the Fire Industry Association, one of the UK’s principal trade organisations for the fire protection sector.
The FIA works across technical standards, training, industry guidance and engagement with government, regulators and other fire-safety stakeholders.
Industry membership helps NPHS remain connected with developments affecting fire protection products, systems and professional practice.
SafeContractor Approved
NPHS has held SafeContractor accreditation since 2017.
SafeContractor supports contractor pre-qualification through assessment of areas such as health and safety management, operating procedures and supporting business documentation.
This provides clients and principal contractors with additional information when assessing NPHS for installation, maintenance and site-based fire suppression work.

HS Direct
NPHS uses external health-and-safety support to help maintain documented policies, procedures and working practices across the business.
This supports our responsibilities when working on construction sites, occupied buildings and maintenance projects where contractor health-and-safety documentation forms part of the wider project requirements.
QMS ISO 9001:2015
NPHS operates within an ISO 9001:2015 quality management framework.
ISO 9001 supports consistent business processes, documented procedures, quality control and audit trails across the organisation.
For clients and project teams, this provides additional assurance around the systems used to manage project delivery, documentation and ongoing business processes.
