Flatt Road - North Ayrshire’s Largest Affordable Housing Project

Flatt Road in Largs stands as North Ayrshire’s largest and most ambitious council housing development to date. Developed by North Ayrshire Council in partnership with hub South West and Ashleigh (Scotland), this £20 million project has delivered 123 modern, energy-efficient homes, setting a new standard for affordable housing in the region. To enhance the safety of this landmark development, NPHS installed a state-of-the-art mist fire suppression system. Featuring 20 pump units and 187 strategically placed nozzles, the system provides seamless fire protection across 72 residential units, including sheltered housing, general needs housing, supported accommodation, and wheelchair-accessible homes. By integrating innovative fire safety solutions into this forward-thinking development, NPHS ensures that residents benefit from both security and sustainability in North Ayrshire’s most significant housing investment.
